Myria H. Damron, 72, of Andrews died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 5, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with the Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Andrews North Cemetery.
Mr. Damron was born Nov. 17, 1933, in Jacksboro to the late Dan and Callie Damron. He married Patsy Dorman Sept. 9, 1956, in Ardmore, Okla. They moved to Andrews from Bridgeport in 1963.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Gary, in 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Carol Damron of Andrews; a daughter, Quita (Damron) Williams of Andrews; a son, Rodney Damron and wife Robin of Midland; six brothers, Billy Dan Damron, Winfred Damron, Dwight Damron and Larry Damron, all of Jacksboro, Marvin Damron of Kingfisher, Okla., and L.D. Damron of Mineral Wells; five sisters, Wanda Scarber, Helen Tilghman and Dorothy Estes, all of Jacksboro, Juanita Long of Bowie and Karen Strickland of Stephenville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Patsy Damron, 73, of Andrews passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.

A visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at McNett Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday January 23, 2014 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bryan Johnson of Lafayette, LA will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Patsy was born June 22, 1940 in Bowie, Texas to Dewey and Amie Dorman. She married Myria Homer Damron September 9, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They moved to Andrews in 1963.

Patsy loved to play bingo, fish and bowl. She also loved playing dominos and Wahoo with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching football and baseball and she loved the Cowboys and Rangers. She enjoyed all of the activities at the nursing home and she really liked being in the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2006 and a brother, Buster Dorman.

She is survived by her daughter, Quita Williams of Andrews; son Rodney Damron and his wife Robin of Midland; brother J.D. Dorman of Bowie, Texas; sisters, Doris Southern of Andrews and Melba Gant of Longview, Texas; 8 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
