*Obituary for Betty
Betty Jo Hungerford, 81, of Brownfield and formerly of Andrews, passed away Tuesday April, 2, 2013. She was surrounded by many friends and family members during her last days. Betty was born on March 31, 1932 in Ovalo, Texas.

Betty worked for Andrews ISD for 20 years as a bus driver and cafeteria worker. She was known to everyone as a kind and gentle spirit. She was a giving person who cared for many friends and family members during illnesses and hard times. Betty was an active member of First Baptist Church in Brownfield and Andrews. While her husband, AB Hungerford, was living, she enjoyed attending the activities and meetings of the Phil-resters, a retirement group of employees of Phillips. She and her husband spent many happy days with their family at Proctor Lake where they owned a lake house. Betty loved spending time cooking candies and deserts for special occasions and holidays. She had a competitive nature when it came to playing games around the family table.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, AB Hungerford; and parents, Willie (Bill) and Bertha Marsh.

Betty is survived by three sons, Jim Hungerford and wife Janice of Ozan, Arkansas, Rick Hungerford and wife Andrea Springtown, Texas, and Donlad Hungerford of Brownfield, Texas; sister, Shirley Ridlehuer of Brownfield, Texas; granchildren, David Hungerford of The Woodlands, Texas, Aaron Hungerford and wife Emily of Tyler, Texas, Susan Dyer and husband Buster of Pleasant Grove, Texas, Ashley Hungerford of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Casey Wood and husband Dustin of Odessa, Texas, Erica Weber and husband Chris of Azle, Texas, and Brandon Hungerford of Lubbock, Texas, ; and eight great- grandchildren.
