Willie Jones, 60, of Andrews passed away late Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his home in Andrews.

Willie was born March 15, 1952 in Brady, Texas. He married Carolyn McCalister January 1, 1976 in Stanton, Texas.

He loved sports and was a great football, basketball and track athlete. He attended college on scholarships from all three sports. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1977.

Willie loved to work on his 1965 Mustang. He also loved to give people a hard time and would try to get them into a debate over any subject. He loved his family and he was always calling his nieces and nephews and children to make sure they were doing the right things and to keep them motivated.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Jones; sisters Kaprina Jones and Sharon Jones, and his father, Nathaniel Puddin Jones, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones of Andrews; one son, Patrick Jones of Austin, Texas; daughters Felicia Jones of Lubbock; Kimmeakia Thomas of San Antonio, Texas; his mother Ida Mae Jones of Brady, Texas; brothers, Nathaniel Puddin Jones, Jr. of Houston; Vernon Jones of Brady Christopher Jones of Austin; Jimmy Jones of Austin; sisters; Sandra Bell of Brady; Graneida Johnson of Brady Christine Patterson of Brady; Idetta Gipson of Houston; Yolanda Jones of Houston; Debra Lewis of Kerryville, Texas seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
