Obituary:
Gladys Phillips TEAGUE, 92, of Booker, died June 14, 1998.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 17, at the First United Methodist Church in Darrouzett, with Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Burial was in Darrouzett Cemetery, under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.

She was born September 13, 1905 at Calico Rock, Arkansas, and she graduated from Miami (TX) High School. She also graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, with a master's degree in Speech and English.

She married Glen Wade PHILLIPS in 1929 in Darrouzett, and they lived in various places while she taught in the Higgins, Follett, Darrouzett, Booker and Perryton schools.

Following her retirement, they moved to Red River, New Mexico, where they lived until her husband's death in 1982. She later married Clyde Miller TEAGUE on March 22, 1984 in Amarillo, where they made their home until moving to Twin Oaks Manor in Booker in 1994. He died in 1997.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Darrouzett, the Eastern Star and Delta Kappa Gamma.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

She is survived by one son, Benton Wade PHILLIPS of Woodward, Oklahoma; one daughter, Donna HOWARD of Amarillo; one sister, Hazel HALE of Austin; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Darrouzett.
