Ramon Pugao, 85, of Andrews passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Mr. Pugao was born June 28, 1925 in Ibajay, Aklan, Philippines.
He married Paula Solano September 6, 1949 in the Philippines.
Ramon worked as the Stevedoring Manager of shipping ports and as the Secretary/Treasurer in charge of Operations for the General Maritime Stevedoring Union. He loved the sea and beaches and sailing.
Ramon loved music and game from a very musical family; he loved to play the guitar.
He and his wife Paula moved to the United States in 1990. They moved to Andrews in 2006 from San Jose, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calixto and Aurelia Pugao, and sisters Matilda Sijera and Leonarda Tombokon.
He is survived by His wife, Paula Pugao of Andrews; sons, Romeo Pugao and his wife Marilyn of Andrews; Ramoncito Pugao and his wife Myrna of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Rachel Rivera and husband Mario of San Jose, California; Rhondora Pugao of Odessa, Texas; six grandchildren, Reo Paulo Pugao, MD and his wife Irish of New Orleans, La; Rey Carlo Pugao and Romeo Sebastian Pugao both of Redondo Beach, California; Ramona Riviera and Virginia Rivera both of San Jose, California and Jose Rafael Pugao-Villarosa of Odessa.

Mrs. Pugao was born in Manila, Philippines, to Bruno Tumbocon Solano and Salome Aguirre Solano.
She married Ramon Moro Pugao on Sept. 6, 1949. She was a resident of Odessa, Texas, formally of Andrews, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
