Obituary:
DARROUZETT - John L. Ragan, 94, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in Perryton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Darrouzett United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Carter officiating. Burial will be in Darrouzett Cemetery by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.
Mr. Ragan was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Harrison County, Mo., to James S. and Olive Hair Ragan. He married Edith Chapman on Nov. 10, 1934, in Boise City, Okla., and was a member of Darrouzett United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Ragan of Darrouzett; two daughters, Barbara Potter of Darrouzett and Christene Conner of Austin; three sisters, Charlotte Bridges of Amarillo, Gracia Rumley of Fort Supply, Okla., and Maxine Haagenson of Albuquerque, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Darrouzett United Methodist Church or the Bobby Knust Memorial Scholarship at First Bank Southwest.
