Billy Mack Shepherd, 81, of Andrews, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Midland Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Post, Tx on June 23, 1928 to Otis and Annie May Shepherd. He married Jeannie Partain in 1979 in Midland, Tx. They Moved from Midland to Andrews in 1986.
He enjoyed playing dominoes and poker with his friends. In his younger years he was an outstanding athlete and billiards player. He lettered every sport in High School. His classmates described him as "a natural born athlete". He was also the first one to hit a home run at the new baseball field in Post, Tx. He worked in the Oil Industry, including Brownlee Well Service as a operator, tool pusher and consultant for over 40 years prior to retirement in 1998. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends the most.
He was preceded in death by, his father; Otis Shepherd, his mother; Annie May Shepherd, brother; Junior Shepherd and grandson; Billy Ryan Shepherd.
He is survived by, wife; Jeannie Partain Shepherd, daughter; Ramona Riley of Grand Prairie, Tx, four sons; Billy Shepherd of Fairbank, Iowa, James Shepherd of Midland, Tx, Otis Shepherd of Midland, Tx, Jayson Shepherd of Andrews, Tx and nine grandchildren.

Jeannie Shepherd, 68, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Midland.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 21st from 6-8 pm at McNett Funeral Home. Jeannie was born on July 24, 1947 in Greenville, Texas to James Jacob Partain and Imogene Roy Partain. She was raised in Whiteface and attended Girl’s Town. She married Billy Mack Shepherd on March 3, 1979 in Midland. They moved to Andrews in 1986 from Midland. She was a cosmetologist and beauty operator. She loved 1950’s and 1960’s music, country dancing, and art and painting. Most of all, she loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Mack Shepherd on December 10, 2009; son, Jayson Shepherd on June 16, 2011; grandson, Billy Ryan Shepherd; and 2 brothers, James and Zane Partain.
She is survived by her 3 sons, James Shepherd and wife Diann of Midland, Otis Shepherd and wife Missy of Midland, and Billy Shepherd of Fairbank, Iowa, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
