Eleanor "Ellie" Lou Faulk Lehrmann, 63, of Mart, entered Heaven on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Hillcrest Hospital. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at Littlepage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the First Baptist Church of Mart with Brother Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Mart Cemetery.
Ellie was born in Little Rock, Ark. to Thomas and Edwina Faulk. The family moved to Mart in 1958 and she graduated from Mart High School in 1961. She married Kenneth Ray Lehrmann on Jan. 21, 1961. Ellie attended beauty school in 1963 and operated the Modernett Beauty Shop in Mart until 1975. She graduated from LVN school in 1980. In that same year she helped to organize the Mart EMS and later studied and earned her paramedic license. She continued to volunteer her spare time to the Mart EMS and has taught many EMT and CPR classes over the years. In May 2004 Ellie graduated from MCC with her RN degree.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Faulk; mother, Edwina Faulk Reed; and sister-in-law, Bette Faulk.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth; daughters, Karan Freeman and husband, Gerald, of Mart, Gina Promes and husband, Jeff, of Hillsboro, and Denise Lehrmann, of Mart; grandchildren, Krystal Freeman Tompkins and husband, Brandon, of New York, Lacey Freeman, of Corpus Christi, Amber Toten, of Waco, Nathan, Kaleb, and Zeke Freeman, of Mart, Kelli and Kenzie Promes, of Hillsboro, and Seth and Tracer Toten, of Mart; brother, Thomas Edwin Faulk, of Waco; brother-in-law, Bub Lehrmann; and several nieces, nephews; and many other family members and friends.
