Celebration of Life ceremony for Concepcion “Connie” de los Rios will be at 7:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews. Home going service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Connie passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born on December 8, 1939 in Littlefield, Texas to Gabriel and Lucinda Doria. She married Josué de los Rios on July 29, 1956 in Corpus Christi. For 30 years they lived in Houston, in 1989 they moved to El Paso and made their final move together to Andrews in 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Apostolic Worship Center in Andrews. She was actively involved in the Women’s Auxiliary in her church organization since 1980. Together with her husband; they dedicated much of their ministry to giving marriage conferences and supporting Missions through the church. She loved singing with her husband, who played the piano. They also enjoyed traveling together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; 1 son: Joshua de los Rios in 1961; and 1 daughter: Diana Quevedo in 2007. She is survived by her husband: Josué de los Rios of Andrews; 6 daughters: Dahlia Torres and Abel of Midland, Delia Ruby Washington and husband Darrel of Plano, Dolores Martin del Campo and husband Josué of Lewisville, Darlene Marroquin and husband Phil of Andrews, Dinah Gallegos and husband Adrian of Andrews, Denise Renteria and husband Jesus of Andrews; 1 son: David J. de los Rios of Midland; 1 son in law: Heriberto Quevedo of Andrews; 2 sisters: Esther de los Rios and Gloria Gonzales, both of Houston, 2 brothers: Gabriel Doria of San Marcos and Miguel Doria of Houston; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
