Rosenda Scurlock, 47, of Andrews, Texas passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Hospice House in Odessa, Texas.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Filadelfia Assembly of God Church in Andrews. Rev. Samuel Emilliano will officiate. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Rosenda was born March 8, 1964 in El Porvenir, Mexico. She moved to Andrews in the mid 1980’s. In 2000 she met Kenton “Teddy” Scurlock and they were married soon after. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Andrews Nursing Home for many years, as well as nursing agencies and at last, Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. She loved her job and had such passion for those she cared for. She loved romantic music, reading, texting her friends, shopping and most of all her family.
Rosenda is preceded in death by three brothers, Alfonzo, Alfredo and Carlos Sanchez and one sister, Maria Delos Angeles.
She is survived by her husband, Kenton ”Teddy” Scurlock; daughters Jazmine White of Andrews and Ashley White of Andrews; parents, Francisco and Maria Sanchez brothers, Arturo Sanchez of Muleshoe, Texas, Alvaro Sanchez of Fabens, Texas, Rigoberto Sanchez of Fabens, Texas and Francisco Sanchez of Muleshoe, Texas; sisters, Angelina Sanchez of Guymon, Oklahoma, Susan Lujan of Fabens, Mariela Sanchez of Muleshoe, Texas, Gloria Sanchez of Fabens, Texas; four grandchildren and her "Angel" her best friend, Maria Moreno of Andrews, Texas. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
