Funeral Services For Jim Young Held Tuesday, Jan. 5

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 5 for Jim Young, 85, a long time resident of Milam County. Mr. Young passed away Sunday, January 3 at 5:45 p.m. at his home here.
Born in Hope, Arkansas, in 1869 Mr. Young came to Milam County in 1876.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. at Marek - Burns Funeral Chapel, with Rev. C. P. Robison, pastor, Assembly of God Church officiating. He was assisted by Rev. P. L. Caperton. Burial was made in Salem Cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Young are three daughters, Mrs. Alvin Baggerly, Mrs. Julia Brod and Mrs. Norman Cook, all of Cameron; and two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Stimeen of Greggton and Mrs. J. B. Griffis of Rockdale; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
