Doris Pipkin, 93, of Andrews, Texas, passed away Friday October 8, 2010 at her home in Andrews.

Doris was born August 10, 1917 in Dundee, Kansas to Henry and Kathie Schroeder.

She has lived in Andrews for over fifty years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved to work in the church nursery and did for over 25 years. She loved kids and she enjoyed working puzzles. She was one of the first members of the Moose Lodge in Andrews.

She was preceded in death by her son, James "Jimmy" Pipkin and a granddaughter, Jessica Wright in 2005, five brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandy Brown, Dianne Pipkin and Denise Pipkin Conder; brothers, Howard Schroeder and Bethel Schroeder; three sisters, Ethel Dill, Alice Miller and Ester Thrasher; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com

Saundra Gwen “Sandy” Brown, 76, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather at a memorial service to celebrate her life at 1:00 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Cross Bar Cowboy Church, 185 SE 1000, in Andrews with Pastor Tim Pickerel officiating. Sandy was born on December 8, 1940 in Denver City, Texas to James Warren Pipkin and Doris Viola Schroeder Pipkin. She was raised in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School in 1959. She had lived in Odessa and moved back to Andrews, where she has been a long-time resident. She loved Luckenbach, Texas, bowling with her daughter, watching Sci-Fi shows, but most of all, spend time with her family. Her passion was serving on the board of directors for the Andrews Ex’s Reunion and serving as a volunteer for events and concerts for “What Yeshua Can Do” in Andrews. She was a member of Cross Bar Cowboy Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jimmy Pipkin, and her son in law, Jack Howell.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Kim Howell of Andrews, son, Doug Brown and wife, Cheryl, of Midland, 2 grandsons, Tristen Brown of San Angelo and Bryson Brown of Midland, 2 sisters, Denise Adams of Longview and Diane Pipkin of Andrews, and her dog, Trixie.
