John D. Clemmer, 85, of Andrews passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his home in Andrews, Texas.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2010 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bryan Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

John was born October 14, 1924 in Springtown, Texas. He served in the US Army Air Corps, during World War II and was still an indefinite member of the Air Force Reserves.

John moved to Andrews in 1966 from Hobbs, NM. He worked for Mobile for 33 years. He married Roberta Nichols November 4, 2000 in Andrews. He was a member of Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews.

John loved to fish and he enjoy Bluegrass music. He also loved making things out of wood carving and metal. He loved to make model radio controlled airplanes. John loved people and was well known in the community for passing out butterscotch candy.

John was preceded in death by, his parents: John and Della Clemmer, his brother: Ira Clemmer and his son: Tim Clemmer.

He is survived by, his wife: Roberta Clemmer, of Andrews, three sons: John Clemmer III ,of Kingsville, Texas, David Michael Clemmer, of Alamogordo, NM and Jamie Clemmer, of Little Rock, Arkansas. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com

Roberta L. Nichols Clemmer, age 93, of Andrews passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Andrews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Dr. Donnie R. Rollie, Home Hospice Chaplain in Odessa, and Nephew Heath Wilson of Quanah, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery.

Roberta was born on August 19, 1923 in Lubbock, Texas to Robert Hamer Hurst and Lois Ethel Thaxton Hurst. She was raised and attended schools in Lubbock and was a graduate of the Southwest CUNA School for Credit Union at the University of Houston. She married Melvin Martin Nichols on May 20, 1945 in Pampa, Texas.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary in Eunice and Jal, New Mexico, Andrews Senior Citizens, Exxon Mobil Annuitant Club, and the Andrews Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Melvin, preceded her in death on October 20, 1993. She married John D. Clemmer on November 4, 2000 in Andrews, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Rosa Hurst, and nephew, Ray Stearns. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
