Services for Gilbert Gonzales, 69 of Andrews, will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 9, 2007 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer service will be Sunday at 7:00 PM in McNett Chapel. Burial will be in the Andrews North Cemetery. Gilberto passed away Thursday morning, April 5, 2007 at the Home Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born on May 2, 1937 in Poteet, Texas. He married Guadalupe Ramos on October 16, 1956 in Big Spring, Texas. He was a truck driver for several years before illness forced retirement. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include, wife Guadalupe of Searcy, Arkansas, special friend, Ida Garcia, Andrews, sons: Max Lopez and Flario Gonzales both of Odessa, Gilbert Gonzales, Jr. and Ruben Gonzales both of Andrews, Johnny Gonzales, Little Rock, Arkansas, daughters: Bruna Mangan, Bakersfield, California, Rosario Cartwright and Josie Todd both of Monahans, Mary Jane Finley, Searcy, Arkansas, brothers: Valdemar Gonzales, George Gonzales, Roger Gonzales and Guillermo Gonzales all of Andrews, sisters: Julia Gonzales, Adrian, Michigan, Elida Balderas, San Antonio, Texas, Alicia Rivera, Poteet, Texas and Celia Gonzales, Andrews, 26 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
