Sharon Carol Hicks Pipkin, 66, of Andrews passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Cross Bar Cowboy Church, 185 SE 1000, in Andrews with Pastor Kerry Pack officiating. Sharon was born on January 3, 1950 in Roswell, New Mexico to Robert Gerald Hicks and Rosemary Newton Hicks. She was raised in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School in 1968. She married Jackie Ray Pipkin on November 6, 1971 in Andrews. They owned and operated J & N Construction for 15 years. She worked as an office manager for Red Rose Excavation for 10 years. She was also involved in online day trading. She loved all types of animals, especially cats and horses, and loved being by the river in Houston. She sacrificed and took pride in homemaker, parenting and mothering her children, and loved her grandchildren. They moved to Houston in 1987 and returned to Andrews in 2012. She was a member of Cross Bar Cowboy Church in Andrews, and she was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jackie Pipkin of Andrews; 2 sons, Rob Pipkin and wife, Corina, of Fort Worth and Charles Pipkin and Katie Butaud of Andrews; 2 brothers, Jerry Hicks and wife, Barbara, of Andrews and Donnie Hicks and wife, Betty, of Midland; 4 grandchildren, Dylan Pipkin of Houston, Corinne Glover of Glenwood Springs, CO, Connor and Kayli Pipkin of Andrews; 4 nieces, Stephanie Tippett, Denese Boone, Cristy Thomma, and Autumn Vest; and 1 nephew, Eric Hicks.
