*Obituary for Ollie
O.B. Raburn Jr. passed away April 26, 2015. OB was born April 27th, 1928 in Wellington to O.B. and Ruby Haralson Raburn. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1945. OB has shared with his family wonderful memories of his life in Wellington. Throughout his life he stayed close with his family and in touch with friends at his high school reunions.

OB was proceeded in death by his brothers Sam, Joe and Don and is survived by brothers Randall and Doug and sister Allene.

It was in Wellington, Texas that OB met Wanda Kidd and they married in 1949. Their life took them to Andrews, Texas which OB loved and was proud to call home since 1953. Here they had a wonderful life, raised a loving family and OB touched many lives in the community through his work as Piggly Wiggly Store Manager, then at First National Bank and for years as CEO at Andrews Savings and Loan. OB retired in 1986.

OB was proceeded in death by his first wife, Wanda Kidd Raburn. He felt blessed to later find someone special to share his life, Mary Anita Kay. He and Mary Anita married in 2000 and had many good and loving years in Andrews and enjoyed visiting and sharing time with both families. Their church, First Baptist Church, was an important part of their lives. And OB’s weekly visits with peers at Commercial State Bank were fun days that he rarely missed. Those that knew OB, know what a special man OB was. His family, that loved him so, will forever carry his smile, love and kindness in their hearts.

OB is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Anita; son Rock Raburn and wife Frances; daughter Ginger Raburn Shaw and husband David; son Chuck Raburn and wife Cindy. He leaves behind grandchildren that adore him: Caressa and husband Steve, Mike and wife Courtney, Scott, Neil and Marisa. Additionally brothers and their wives, sister, sister-in-law and husband as well as nieces and nephews from the Raburn, Kidd and Kay families will all miss OB. Memorial services will be Thursday, April 30 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Andrews. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews, Texas.
