Dorothy M. “Dottie” Wilson, 69, of Andrews passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a memorial service at 4:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Andrews Church of Christ, 201 NW 2nd Street, in Andrews with Minister Leslie L. Boone officiating. Private interment in the Andrews North Cemetery and services are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Please celebrate her life at www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.

Dottie was born on March 15, 1948 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to Floyd Stacy Harrington, Sr. and Zona M. MacDonald Harrington. She was the 3rd of 4 children, and they were all raised in Sangerville, Maine. In 1966, she graduated from Winter Point High School in Maine. Immediately after graduation, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. In 1975, she moved her family to Andrews, and has been a faithful resident ever since. She worked as a pumper for Phillips Petroleum for 23 years. After she retired, she would travel to craft fairs and have a booth with homemade craft items. She called her booth “Dottie’s Crafts”. She was an avid reader who had an entire room filled with books she had read. She loved to travel and would take her daughter, Kathy, to many places on the East Coast and battlefields and the ocean. Her family will always remember that she was a strong woman who never took no for an answer. She was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her 3 children, Kathy Harrington of Andrews, Larry Wilson, Jr. and wife, Melanie, of Odessa, and Ricky Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri; 3 siblings, Richard Harrington, Floyd Harrington, Jr., and Sonia Dillard, all of Maine; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
