Jennie Yocom, 79, of Andrews passed away Tuesday November 4, 2008 at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at McKinney Acres Baptist Church in Andrews. Pastor James Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Yocom was born December 23, 1928 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She married James Cecil "J.C." Yocom February 25, 1947 in Lovington, NM. She was a member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church. She liked to read, crochet, and watch Jeopardy. She loved George Strait and the Dales Cowboys, and playing Pac Man. She also really enjoyed Happy Hour at Sonic Drive In.
She was preceded in death by her husband in March of 2001. She is survived by: three sons - Clifton Yocom of Seminole, Texas; Terry Alan Yocom of Chehalis, WA; and David Yocom of San Angelo; Two daughters - Jeannie Creech of Midland; and Janice Yocom of Andrews; one brother - Lewis Boomer of Elk City, Oklahoma; three sisters - Pearl Krause of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Mary Novack of Manassas, Virginia; and Minnie Woods of Elk City, Oklahoma; Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
