Funeral services for Judy Coats, age 65 of Seminole, Texas will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God in Seminole, with Reverend Gary Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park in Denver City, Texas. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Ms. Coats passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, following a lengthy illness. She was born February 24, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas to June Marie Lasater (Gibson) and Waldo Tech McLaurin. Judy was a member of the First Assembly of God in Seminole. She worked as an LVN, and was employed by Seminole Memorial Hospital and Home Health for many years. Judy taught Sunday School for numerous years and continued to hold classes in her home when she was unable to attend church.

Judy Coats is preceded in death by her father in 1994; her mother in 1991; two brothers, Hudson McLaurin in 1991 and Waldo McLaurin in 1991; and one sister, Cecille Todd in 2009. She is survived by: one daughter Kendra Anderson & husband David of Seminole, Texas, one son Kevin Coats & wife Sunny of Seminole, Texas, stepfather Billie Lasater & wife Thelma of Seminole, Texas, one sister Kim Gillian & husband Todd of Brownwood, Texas , six grandchildren. www.boyerfuneralhome.net
