Mother of the Babe of the Alamo
Settled in Gonzales about 1835. She was with her daughter in the Alamo when it fell in March 1836. She witnessed the death of her husband, Almaron, and the other men. She was released by Santa Anna after the battle and escorted to Sam Houston with news of the Alamo. She married Joseph Hannig in 1857 and
lived on Austin until her death.
