Kate Marie Harris, 92, of Denver City passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007, in Denver City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007, in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Bob Fred officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Kate was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Kaufman County, to M. R. and Eula Mae Nichols. She married Arthur Syfrett, and after his death, she married Max Harris on Jan. 14, 1956. They moved to Denver City in 1963. He died in 1986. Kate retired after 20 years with the Yoakum County Hospital as a nurses' aide and was a Baptist. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by a son, Ron Harris; nieces, Janie Payne and Jeanne Springer; long time friend, Lydia Hernandez; nieces, Betty Hood, LaWanda Schovain, Kathryn McGinty, LaFawn Graves and Wilda Payne; two grandchildren, Erin and Blake Harris; and three great grandchildren.
