DENVER CITY (Special) Services for Estelle Childers, 90, of Denver City will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Childers officiating and the Rev. Bob Webb assisting.
Burial will be in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in Lubbock.

She was born June 23, 1910, in Comanche. She married Eldon "Slim" Childers on Oct. 12, 1929, in Blackwell. He died June 19, 1964. She retired from the Denver City ISD as a cafeteria worker.
She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge, the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary, the Senior Citizens and the Art Association. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Eldon W. Jr. of San Antonio, James R. of Garland and Billy Paul of Midland; two daughters, Bobbie Terrell of Lubbock and Uvanda M. Boland of California; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Source: Ratliff Funeral Home.
