DENVER CITY Funeral services for Ida Jane Garner, 99, of Denver City will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darren Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park under direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at Canterbury Villa in Denver City.
She was born March 29, 1901, in Amity, Ark. She married Pat Garner on Feb. 28, 1928, in Hot Springs, Ark. He died Feb. 2, 1987. She was a homemaker. She moved to Denver City in 1956 from Stillwater, Okla. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Denver City. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and United Methodist Women's Association in Denver City. She received the Yellow Rose of Texas award from the governor for 35 years as a Pink Lady.
Survivors include two sons, Don Garner of Birmingham, Ala., and Ron Garner of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. boyerfuneralhome.net
