Dorothy Mae Connolly, 87, of Denver City passes away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Denver City. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 10:00a.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Chapel with Brother Bob Fred officiating. Interment will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Denver City Memorial Park with services until the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Dorothy was born February 11, 1924 in Whitney, Texas to Ben and Alice Nelson. She married L.J. Connolly in Hillsboro, Texas on January 17, 1947. She worked at the Denver City Elementary School in Food Service for many years. She taught Sunday school for over 20 years. She loved gardening, camping, and hiking.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Benny Connolly and wife Ann of Denver City, Texas; one sister, Alta Williamson of Denver City; granddaughters Gwen Taylor and San Angelo, Texas and Ginger Espinoza and husband Gilbert of Denver City, Texas; 7 great grandchildren, Amber Espinoza, Samantha Espinoza, Ryan Espinoza, Aaron Hinson, Nic Espinoza, Kasidee Taylor, and Jaden Espinoza; and a great-great grandchild, Aubrie Espinoza.
Pallbearers are Ryan Espinoza, Aaron Hinson, Nic Espinoza, Gilbert Espinoza, Richard Espinoza, and Brad Taylor. Honorary Pallbearer: Jaden Espinoza.
