John A. Couch married Miss Zoodie Johnson in June 1900 at Haskell, Texas.
Graveside rites for Mrs. Zoodie Couch, pioneer Haskell resident was held in the Willow cemetery with Dr. Ray Nobles, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Haskell officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Couch were known for their leadership in the church and community for over 60 years. She moved to Waco in 1956 shortly after the death of her husband.
Survived by one daughter - Mrs. E.B. Burleson; one grandson; one granddaughter; three great-grandsons.
