FUNERAL HERE TUESDAY FOR MRS. S. E. BRADY

Funeral services for Mrs. S. E, Brady, long a resident of Cameron, who died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 1, 1941, at Cameron Hospital, will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 2nd, at First Methodist Church in Cameron with Rev. John W. Mills, pastor, conducting the services.
Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery with the Marak - Burns Funeral Home directing arrangements.
Mrs. Brady was a native of Alabama, born October 27th, 1856. She was 84 years, 10 months and 5 days of age. The body was at the Marek - Burns Funeral Home until the funeral hour Tuesday afternoon.
The late S. E. Brady, her husband, was a prominent business man and farmer, of the Maysfield community in the early days of Milam County and about 25 years ago or more moved to Cameron where he was with the R. L. Batte industries here.
Mrs. Brady continued to live in the city for years with her daughter, Mrs. Mamie Laird. Her death has brought sorrow to the hearts of many for her life was a shining example of the noble qualities of soul and heart so true of the pioneers.
Active pall bearers are: W. A. Bonds, John Perry, Dan Tysin, W. C. Smith, Jesse Brock and Chas. Brady.
Honorary pall bearers are: Dr. Eduard Rischar, R. L. Batte, H. L. Atkinson, Jeff T. Kemp, W. G. Gillis and Robert Todd.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. F. M. Cawthorn of Waco; three sons, B. C. Brady of Port Arthur, V. E. Brady of Galdewater, B. O. Brady of Salt Lake City, Utah, five daughters, Mrs. Archie Peel of Ennis, Mrs. Mary Thompson of Fairfield, Ala., Mrs. T. A. Peel of San Antonio, Mrs. John Thweatt of Maysfield, and Mrs. Mamie Laird of Cameron.
Surviving also are 28 grand children and 10 great grand children.
Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery beside the body of her late husband.
