CUERO — Geneva Helen Parnell, 85, passed away December 27, 2008.
She was born April 23, 1923, in Ivanhoe, Texas, to the late Marion and Clemmie Gamble Burrell. During World War II, she worked at an aircraft assembly plant in Fort Worth. She was a retired secretary for the Dept. of Defense, U.S.A.F.
She is survived by her son, John Haliburton, and wife Beverly of Cuero; sisters, Mildred Morris, Marion White and Billie Burrell of Chillicothe, Texas; grandchildren, James and Samuel Haliburton of Cuero; stepsons, Mac Parnell of Stockton, California and Dexter Parnell of Henrietta, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, John Haliburton and Tom Parnell; her sisters, Flossie Garrett, Bonnie Hedge, Gertrude Potter, and Lillie Burrell; her brothers, Mac Burrell, Harold Burrell and Derrell Burrell.
Services at Chillicothe Church of Christ with Rev. Larry Suttle of Wichita Falls, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow in Chillicothe Cemetery.
