Tom Spruill, 81 of Vernon, Texas died on Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Vernon, Texas.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mr. Joe Dale Wilson.

Tom was born Wednesday, August 12, 1936 in Chillicothe, Texas; he was the son of the late Sam Spruill and the late Annie Golden Spruill. He married Shirley Ann Mezzell on June 16, 1956 in Reno, NV. She preceded him in death on July 20, 1986. He worked for Ayers Oil for 35 years manager since 1988 retiring in July of 2014. He was a member of Chillicothe Masonic Lodge and he loved to fish. He was a Methodist.

Surviving is his daughter, Tammie Hallmark of Vernon, TX, brother, Don Spruill of Vernon, TX, sister, Betty Seaton of Wichita Falls, TX, two grandchildren Haley Hallmark, Holly Matthews, three great grandchildren Jasper, Kadence, and Holden.

He is preceded in death by a son Mike Spruill and one brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be Saturday at 1:00 pm til service time at Sullivan Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Western Trail Cowboy Church
