1878 - February 23, 1950
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. PLOCEK SATURDAY
Mrs. Josephine Plocek, 73, died at the home of her son, Roy Plocek at 2:00 a. m. Thursday, February 23, 1950 after a short illness.
Mrs. Plocek had formerly made her home in Rosebud prior to moving to Cotulla. Her husband predeceased her seventeen years ago.
She is survived by seven sons: Walter Plocek of Cameron, Willie Plocek of Rosebud, Arnold Plocek of Burlington, George Plocek of Bishop, Herman Plocek, Roy Plocek and Melvin Plocek all of Cotulla; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Fuchs of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Ernest Rock of Pearsall, and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Arthur Hensel of Burlington, Mrs. Arthur Hensel of Burlington. She is also survived by three sisters; Mrs. Louise Behne of Rosebud, Mrs. Katie Ordner of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Hilda Gotach of Rowena, and three brothers; Emil Brod of D'Hanis, Joe Brode of Houston and Hallie Brod of San Angelo. Twenty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Rosary will be recited at Green's Funeral Home this evening at 7:30. Funeral services will be conducted by Father O'Reagan Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Michael's Church in Burlington, with burial in St. Michael's cemetery.
