Perrilla 'Pud' Brewster
DUMONT -- Perrilla "Pud" Brewster, 82, relative of two Big Country residents, died Monday in a Lubbock hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Paducah First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Peckham officiating. Burial will be in Dumont Cemetery, directed by Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah.
Mrs. Brewster was born in Dumont and worked as the postmistress at the Dumont Post Office for 30 years until retiring in 1992. She owned the Brewster General Store since 1970 and was Dumont's weather reporter for more than 30 years. She was a member of Dumont Homecoming Committee, National Association of Postmasters and Paducah First United Methodist Church and was the widow of Aubrey Brewster, whom she married in 1935.
Survivors include one son, Aubrey Brewster of Snyder; two brothers, Jordan Rogers of Dumont and Wayne Rogers of Richardson; one sister, Theatus Green of Spur; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
