FLOYDADA - Murl Adams Mayfield, 89, died Monday, June 30, 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howell Farnsworth officiating. Burial will be in Rushing Chapel Cemetery by MooreRose-White Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mayfield was born in Hill County and attended Bethel School there.
She married Gordan Mayfield in 1926 at Hill County. They moved to Floyd County in 1934 from Crosby County. Mr. Mayfield died in 1991.
Mrs. Mayfield was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Floydada. She also was a member of WMU and the Sunbeams church group. She was a 60-year member of the Homebuilders Home Demonstration Club. She had served many offices in the club and currently was serving as president.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Eugene Mayfield of Henrietta; a sister, Helen Green of Antioch, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
