ZORES CRISWELL KILLED AUTO WRECK WEDNESDAY
----------------------
BUCKHOLTS YOUNG MAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES RECEIVED NEAR HOME.
----------------------

Zores Criswell son of D. R. Criswell at Buckholts was killed Wednesday night near Buckholts on the Buckholts and Rogers road when the car in which he and two companions were riding was overturned.
The fatal accident is the second to occur at this bend in the road. Last year a brother of L. T. Lewis of Cameron was seriously injured when his car overturned.
Young Criswell was engaged in business at Buckholts at the time of his death and is a brother of Flores Criswell, cashier of the Buckholts State Bank.
The funeral was held there Thursday. The entire county will sympathyze with the bereaved family.

Temple Telegram

Thomas V. Adams, attorney at Buckholts, yesterday directed the attention of the Telegram to several errors made in the news item published from Buckholts Friday morning relating to the fatal automobile accident near there.
A letter from Mr. Adams was as follows:
'Your report in today's Telegram, of the accident near Buckholts which resulted in the death of Zorus B. Criswell and injury of Condra Slone, being inaccurate in several particulars, the courtesy will be appreciated if you will make correction.
"Your report states that Mr. Criswell and his companions were returning from a dance at Roges when accident occurred. The fact is Mr. Criswell left Buckholts late Wednesday afternoon for Temple to transact some business relative to hauling freight, being engaged in that business. Condra Slone and J. F. Barron went with him as companions on the trip. Mr. Criswell's business in Temple being quickly disposed of, the three started back to Buckholts, and the accident occurred as they were nearing Buckholts, about 3 o'clock p. m. Slone managed to crawl from under the car but was too badly injured to be of assistance in lifting it off Zorus Criswell. Barron was unable to raise it by himself, and went to neighboring home of Louis Larza for assistance. Larza phoned the fact of the accident to Buckholts and set out in his car to pick up some help. Shortly thereafter T. F. Criswell, brother of deceased, Louis Raska and Alfred Walschak arrived on the scene and lifter the car off Zorus. By this time Larza and others had arrived and the body was then brought to Buckholts and it was not until some time thereafter the the members of the orchestra who had been to Rogers returned to Buckholts.

"Yours very truly, "THOS. V. ADAMS."
