WILLIAM HENRY JOHNS DIES WERE TUESDAY

Wm. Henry Johns, 44, who has been ill since November 1941, died at his home in Cameron at 7:45 Tuesday, March 31, 1942.
His condition had been critical for weeks and although his death was not unexpected it came with a shock of sincere sorrow to the people here where he had lived for nearly a quarter of a century.
Mr. Johns was born in the Walkers Creek community north of Cameron and lived there until 23 years ago when he moved to Cameron to accept employment with F. J. Beckerman Harness and Leather Goods Store and had been employed there for that length of time.
Funeral services will be held from First Baptist Church at 10 o'clock Wednesday, April 1, 1942. Rev. C. W. Sanders, Pastor, will deliver the funeral sermon and the Green Funeral Home will direct arrangements. Mr. Johns had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years.
The body will be at the Green Funeral Home until time for funeral services on Wednesday morning.
Mr. Johns is survived by his widow and two children Freddie and Richard, both students at Ada Henderson Scholl. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. LeRoy Johns, 2 brothers and five sisters as follows: Marvin Johns of Minerva, Lora Johns, Miss Daisy Johns, Mrs. C. M. Hightower, all of Walkers Creek, Mrs. H. B. Hairston of Hoyte, Mrs. C. F. Dodson of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Leland Hurry of Freeport.
