Gene Bales 75 of Crosbyton passed away November 9, 2019. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 13, 2019 at the Crosbyton Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday November 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Gene was born October 23, 1944 to E.W. and Ruby Carson Bales. He married Judy Shipman on May 5, 1974 in Spur Texas. Gene was a farmer most of his life and loved every aspect of it, he also loved traveling especially to Las Vegas. One of his favorite times was spent with the grandchildren on the 4th of July.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents and wife Judy.
Gene is survived by six sons; Frank Mullins Jr. of Crosbyton, Micheal Mullins of San Angelo, Pat Mullins of Andrews, David Mullins of Crosbyton, Danny Paul Mullins of Crosbyton, and Phillip Bales of Midland, one sister; Barbara Stone of San Angelo. He also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Judy Bales, 70, of Crosbyton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 she was at home surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton with Donal Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Family and friends will gather to honor her memory Friday, May 31 from 6 to 7 pm at Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Judy was born December 10, 1942 in Palacias TX to the late C.A. Jr. and Faye (Warren) Shipman. She married Gene Bales May 5, 1974 in Spur. She and Gene lived in Crosbyton, while raising their six boys; she earned her certification to be a Medication Aide which allowed her to spend time doing what she did best which was helping people at the Crosbyton Clinic. Judy loved to travel and see the sights; she was honored with Crosbyton Woman of the Year and served as past President of the Crosbyton Little League. In her spare time she loved sewing and enjoyed puzzles. Judy always made time to spend with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was happiest when she was helping others.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Bales of Crosbyton, six sons, Frank Mullins, Jr. of Crosbyton, Micheal Mullins of San Angelo, Pat Mullins of Andrews, David Mullins of Midland, Danny Paul Mullins of Seminole and Phillip Bales of Midland, one brother, Clifford Shipman of Brownwood, two sisters, Jerry Land of Abilene and Kay Fong of Matador, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
