CARBON — Betty Jo Jackson died Wednesday at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Boggs officiating. Burial will be in the Flatwood Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Eastland, attended Flatwood School, and graduated from Carbon High School. She married Kenneth Jackson on May 29, 1964 in Carbon. She worked as a dental assistant for J.O. Jolly and later worked for Central Drug and Eastland Drug until retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Mangum Baptist Church and Eastland Eastern Star 280.
Survivors include her husband of Carbon; two sons, Billy Carlton of Eastland and Ronnie Jackson of Missouri City; one daughter, Brenda Arther of Eastland; two brothers, Roy Byrd of Eastland and Jack Byrd of Carbon; two sisters, Emma Lou Benton of Eastland and Sue Garrett of Iowa Park; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to donor's favorite charity.
