MRS. VINCE LUCAS DIES IN HEARNE; SERVICES HELD SATURDAY AFTERNOON
Mrs. Vince Lucas, 74, died in the Searcy-Flemming Hospital in Hearne Friday morning, Jan. 2, 1953 after a four-weeks illness.
Mrs. Lucas was born Dec. 8, 1878 in Leon county and came to Milam county when a young girl. She was the wife of Vince Lucas, former City Marshal of Cameron.
She had lived in Milam county until four years ago when she moved to Calvert to make her home.
Funeral services were scheduled at the chapel of Green's funeral home at 3 p. m. Saturday, Jan. 3, with Rev. John Coffin, pastor of the Calvert Presbyterian church officiating.
Interment in the Marlow cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Vince Lucas; one brother, J. O. Devine of San Antonio; two sisters, Miss Mammie Devine of Houston and Mrs. Margaret Hartley of Cameron.
