Rosary for Rita Rodriguez, 55, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2009, in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Puthuparambil, pastor, officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 10, 2009, in the same church. Burial followed services in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Rodriguez died on Sunday, June 7, 2009, in Lubbock, TX.

She was born April 25, 1954 in Idalou, TX to the late Octavio and Maria (Garza) Caballero, and lived in Abernathy until moving to Lubbock in 1971.

She is survived by her husband, Adon Rodriguez, 3 daughters, Corina Rodriguez, Ruby Rodriguez and Priscilla Martinez all of Lubbock, TX, 9 grandchildren, Jacob Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez, Valentino Rodriguez, Vanessa Rodridguez, Adam Martinez, Mya Rodriguez, Luis Martinez and Isiah Martinez, 1 great grandson, Anthony Jesko. She is also survived by 8 sisters, Linda Trujillo, Mary Mendez, Rosie Martinez, Anita Cantu, Judy Perez, Francis Soto, Josie Caballero and Concha Flores and 1 brother, Joe Caballero. www.abellfuneralhome.com
