BORGER, July 1 - Funeral services for Elmer W. Bennett, 49, of Stinnett, were held at 2:30 p.m. today in the First Methodist Church here. The Rev. Wilbur Gaede, pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Stinnett Cemetery under direction of Minton Funeral Home of Borger.
Mr. Bennett was pronounced dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital shortly after he suffered a heart attack at his home.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Stinnett and had been a resident there for eight years. He was a plumber with Curly's Hardware and Appliance in Stinnett.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Paula Gern [sic] Kizzlar of Spearman; a son, Johnny W. with the U.S. Navy in Philadelphia; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Witt of Perryton; two brothers, Dean of Perryton and Raymond of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.

GRUVER - Mary E. "Tots" Bennett, 82, died Tuesday, June 15, 1993.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lewis Holland, pastor, and the Rev. Tom Mills, pastor of Kingswood United Methodist Church at Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery at Stinnett by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Hansford County. She married Elmer Bennett in 1929 at Beaver, Oklahoma. He died in 1959. She was a retired teacher and had taught at the Oslo School, Romero and Channing.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Texas State Teachers Association and United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Kizziar of Gruver; a son, Johnny W. Bennett of Amarillo; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
