Sim V. Gamble,86, passed away June 5, 2001 in Amarillo, Texas. A lifelong resident of Thalia, Texas, he was a son of Sim and Annie Ingle Gamble. He married Bonnie Tarver April 2, 1933. He was a farmer and former manager of the Thalia Gin. He was a member of the Thalia Masonic Lodge #666, the Thalia Gin Board and the Thalia Water Board. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thalia, Texas. He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Thalia; a son, Mike Gamble of Quanah, Texas; two daughters, Jean Frost and Dorothy of Amarillo, Texas. Interment was in Wilbarger Memorial Park.

Bonnie Gamble passed away January 4, 2003 in an Amarillo Hospice after a brief illness. She was born December 15, 1917 in Thalia, Texas to the late W.S. and Nettie Fox Tarver. She married Sim V. Gamble on April 2, 1933 in Altus Oklahoma and they lived and farmed in Thalia, Texas all of their lives. Sim V. preceded her in death in 2001. Bonnie was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Thalia, Texas until it closed and then she joined the Calvary Baptist in Vernon. She is survived by one son, Mike of Quanah, Texas; two daughters, Jean Long of Amarillo and Dorothy Wright of Canyon, Texas, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother and two sisters. Pallbearers were Len Haseloff, Rod Haseloff, Shane Haseloff, Barry Frost, Danny Frost and Timmy Frost. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clinton Young and Rev. Ron Fox officiating. Interment was in Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon, Texas.
