G. W. HENDERSON IS BURIED MONDAY
Funeral services for G. W. Henderson, 80, pioneer resident of Milam county, were held at 4 p. m. Monday, February 14, 1944, at the Walkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Cole, pastor, conducting. Interment was made in the Walkers Creek Cemetery with the Green Funeral Home in Cameron directing arrangements.
Mr. Henderson was the father of Jack Henderson, widely known citizen here and Fire Chief in Cameron.
Mr. Henderson was born in Camp Hill, Alabama, and had been a resident of Milam county for 51 years. He had lived on his Walkers Creek farm since 1901. He was a member of the Baptist church. Mrs. Henderson died in 1925.
Mr. Henderson died in the Cameron Hospital Sunday, Febraury 14, 1944, where he had been taken for treatment recently. He had been in declining health for several months.
Surviving are three children as follows: G. T. Henderson of Walkers Creek; Jack Henderson of Cameron and Mrs. Rosie Clifton of Cameron.
