STINNETT - Mary L. Goodwin, 79, of Stinnett died at 7:36 p.m. Monday in North Plains Hospital.
Services for Mrs. Goodwin will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Ed Seal, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Stinnett under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
A native of Jack County, Tex., Mrs. Goodwin moved to Stinnett in 1904 and had resided there 75 years. She was a charter member of the First Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star chapter 347. As pioneer to the area she also belonged to the Hutchinson County Pioneers and was employed at the Post Office in Stinnett for 18 years.
Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1966.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis and Richard, both of Stinnett; one daughter, Mrs. Ed Williams of Stinnett; three brothers, R.S. "Buck" Christian and Roy Christian, both of Stinnett and Lester of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Turner of Stinnett, Mrs. John Gilliam of Dallas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
