Funeral services for Elza James Hays, 50, of 201 Main Street, Stinnett, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the First Christian Church in Stinnett with the Rev. Ray Cobb, pastor of the Victory Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Hays died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at North Plains Hospital. He had been a resident of this area since 1940 and was a truck driver.

He was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and was a navy veteran of WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Elzora of the home, five sons, David of Stinnett, Tom of Borger, E.J. Jr. of Texas City, Donald of Phillips and Jackie, with the U.S. Air Force stationed in Fort Worth; one daughter, Mrs. Lana Wilkerson of Borger; two sisters, Mrs. Wanda McGee of Liberal, Kans., Mrs. Opal Hall of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; one brother, Marvin of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; and 11 grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Arthur Monk, Joe Monk, Perry Scales, Bob Parsons, Lee McWilliams, Luke Monden.
