*Obituary
Martha J. "Marti" Blackman, 56 of Gatesville, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at a local nursing facility. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at the Gatesville Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Walter Rose officiating. Burial will follow at the Slater cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She is survived by daughters, Cristy Blackman and Kate Blackman; brothers, Kenneth Kidd and wife, Linda, of Waco, James Kidd and wife, Sandra, of Fort Worth and Fred Kidd, Jr. and wife, Trish, of Fort Worth; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to The Meadows, C/O Coryell Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1507 W. Main Street, Gatesville, TX 76528.
