Funeral services for long time area resident Emmett H. "Pinky" Hennis, will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stinnett Church of Christ, with the Borger Church of Christ minister, Jack Orbison, officiating.

Hennis, 70, who lived at 728 Williams St., in Stinnett, died in North Plains Hospital Friday at 10:30 p.m. He was a retired oil filed worker.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Emma Hennis; a daughter, Mrs. E.P. Davis of Stinnett; mother, Mrs. E.C. Hennis of Burkburnett; two sisters, Mrs. W.E. Goins and Mrs. Vada Bolin of Burkburnett; a brother, C. Hennis, Burkburnett; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Stinnett under the direction of Ed Brown Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be Jay Cottner, Lee Van Huss, Walter Christian, Buck Gidley Bruce Titus and Fred Kopple.

Graveside services for Emma Hennis, 88, of 200 Tyler St., will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be by Alexander Funeral Directors of Stinnett.

The body will lie in state until Friday morning at Alexander's Funeral Home in Stinnett.

Mrs. Hennis died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Magic Plains Nursing Home.

She was a former Stinnett resident. She was a homemaker, and member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include three grandsons, Don Davis, Ronnie Davis, and Royce Davis, all of California; a granddaughter, Kay Skinner of Liberal, Kan.; two sisters, Lola Sheets of Texline and Bernice Turner of Dumas; a brother, Ralph Bates of Kermit; and four great-grandchildren.
