Susie Ann Hernandez, aged 57 died peacefully November 18th, 2016 at Baptist St. Anthony’s, after a sudden medical complication. Susie was born November 27th, 1958, in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of the belated Eliseo Sepulveda and Maria Guadalupe Martinez.
Susie thoroughly enjoyed serving her community. Her passion to serve others arose when someone helped Susie in one of her darkest moments. She continued to help people throughout her life. Susie graduated from Stinnett High School and attended Frank Phillips Community College. On March 17th, 1986, Susie married the love of her life Rene Hernandez. Susie and Rene ended up spending 30 years together in the city of Stinnett. Susie would spend her time raising their two children, Krystal Hernandez and Anthony Hernandez. Susie was an active member of St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church.
In addition, Susie found time to volunteer at Salvation Army, St. John’s Guadalupanas, St. John’s Altar Society, Roman Catholic Diocese of Amarillo North Deanery. Susie became director of Hi Plains Helping Hands from 2013 to 2015.
Susie is survived by her husband, Rene Hernandez; daughter, Krystal Hernandez; son, Anthony Hernandez; brother, Richard Sepulveda; sister, Carol Sepulveda; various other relatives and close family friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Lupe Sepulveda and her parents, Eliseo and Maria Sepulveda.
Susie Hernandez will lie in state from 8AM- 5PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 and 8AM-8PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with Rosary at 7PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains in Borger. Service will be held at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
