STINNETT — James Arthur "Red" Herring Jr., 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, in Amarillo.
His father is James Arthur Herring FAG#55540617 and mother Virgie Mae [Clement] Herring Hudson
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stinnett Cemetery with Matthew Benefield, minister of Stinnett Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Herring had numerous jobs in the oil field, working for Sharp Drilling Co. He married Virginia Bell on Oct. 20, 1943, in Pampa.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Bob Herring of Stinnett and Dale Ray Herring of Amarillo; three daughters, Andre Louise Roberson and O'Nita Robinson, both of Pampa, and Gayla Faye Mulholland of Evanston, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 328 Sara Drive in Scotts Acres, outside of Stinnett.
