Kathy Burch Guest went to meet her Savior on December 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1950, in Longview, TX.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was a teacher for 36 years, a member of the Junior League of Texarkana, and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She served on the Arkansas Education Board and was a Certified Judge of the Miss America Association. She also received the 50th Girl Award at Arkansas High School. Mrs. Guest was a co-owner in Guest Beauty Services. She is preceded in death by her parents, D. Glenn Burch and Loretta Burch, and one brother, Dr. Stephen Burch.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Guest; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Rachel Gross; one step-son, Dearl Guest; one step-daughter, Sarah Guest; five grandchildren, Austin, Kason, Kayley, Becca and Jack.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 2, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR, with the Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
