Dorothy Faye Kornegay Turner Maxwell, 89, of Pittsburg, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Pittsburg, Texas.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, February 9, at 3:30 PM at the Rising Star Cemetery in Rising Star, Texas with Ross French officiating. The family will have a time of visitation Saturday, February 9 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains, Texas.
Dorothy was born October 5, 1929 in Iraan, Texas to the Late William Hamp and Roby Marie Potter-Kornegay.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Turner and her parents, brother, J W Kornegay.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Turner and wife, Cheryl of Pittsburg, Texas; Johnny B. Turner and wife, Evonne of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Heather Renee French and husband, Ross of Tyler, Texas; Shauna Ann Turner of Princess Anne, Maryland; great grandchildren, Nathanael French, Ian French, William French, Isaac French and baby girl on the way, all of Tyler, Texas; brother, Billy Dell Kornegay and wife, Carral of Gatesville, Texas, sister in law, Mary Anne Kornegay of Bryan, Texas.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Turner and her parents, brother, J W Kornegay.
Dorothy is survived by his sons, Billy Ray Turner and wife, Cheryl of Pittsburg, Texas; Johnny B. Turner of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Heather Renee French and husband, Ross of Tyler, Texas; Shaun Ann Turner of Maryland; great grandchildren, Nathanael French, William French, Isaac French all of Tyler, Texas; brother, Billy Dell Kornegay of Gatesville, Texas.
