AUSTIN - John Charles "Jay" Oates, Austin, died Wednesday.
He was a lifetime native of Austin.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Oates of Austin; one brother, Jack Oates of Stinnett, one sister, Ellen Carlisle of Austin.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Richard Appling, officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
