STINNETT - Robert Paul "Bob" Price, 80, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Stinnett Church of Christ with Jim York and Zeb Sailors officiating. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bob was born July 3, 1927, in Crane to Jim and Muriel Price. He married Inez Gunkel on Oct. 10, 1945 and spent the last 63 years of his life with his beloved wife.

Bob was a member of Stinnett Church of Christ, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, past master of Plemons Masonic Lodge and a member of Unity Masonic Lodge. He also served honorably in the U.S. Army. Bob was employed by J.M. Huber for many years and later owned and managed C&D Salvage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Rusty, in 1953.

Survivors include his wife, Inez; a daughter, Donna Simons and husband Rodney of Borger; two brothers, Ralph Price of Plainview and Joe Price of Hiawatha, Kan.; a sister, Betty Blair of Oceanside, Calif.; two grandsons, Brad and wife Andrea Simons of Carrollton and Bobby Simons of Dallas; and two great-granddaughters, Summer Simons and Claire Simons, both of Carrollton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be in honor of Summer Simons to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk, 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 425, Dallas, TX 75251.

Pallbearers include Jack Tolleson, Jon Mark Tolleson, Bobby Tolleson, Brice Manasco, Ralph Price and Bobby Simons.

Bob passed after a family prayer at his bedside. Although he passed from complications associated with melanoma, he also served a critical role in helping his great-granddaughter battle leukemia.
